Joe Slovo Tia 

Joe is a senior associate at n. dowuona & company. His areas of focus are energy and infrastructure, tax, and dispute resolution. His recent work includes advising a multinational petroleum company on the wholesale supply of natural gas and advising a service provider in the energy sector on local content rules. He has handled significant commercial and constitutional disputes before the Superior Courts of Ghana, including representing the largest distributor of power in Ghana in a suit challenging the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Compact, and representing a state-owned oil and gas corporation in a constitutional challenge to a power purchase agreement.

He obtained his LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an LLM in International Economic Law (with Merit) from the University of Warwick. He is also an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Joe is a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, where he lectures on Tax and Constitutional Law.
