In the wake of the corona virus pandemic, the Registrar General’s Department released a press statement on March 31, 2020, extending the deadline for the filing of Annual Returns from April 30, 2020 to June 30, 2020 for all companies whose financial year ended by December 31, 2019. All other companies whose financial year will end before June 30, 2020 are expected to file by December 31, 2020.

Companies who do not comply with this directive would be made to pay a flat penalty rate of Four Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GHS 450) in addition to the annual return fee of Fifty Ghana Cedis (GHS 50) effective July 6, 2020.
